Blue Saffron Friend

Oh I just love this set. This is the new gift set that Stampin' Up! sent to it's demonstrators. I love receiving unexpected gifts. The set is called Time Well Spent. It is a twelve stamp set and this card was created using two of the images.
I used So Saffron, Bashful Blue, Very Vanilla, and Always Artichoke card stock. I also used the Designer Series Paper Le Jardin.
The accessories that were used are the Ticket Corner Punch, Ivory Organdy Ribbon (retired), Stampin' Write Markers, and the 1 1/16" Circle Punch.
To create the flower, I used the paper piecing technique. I stamped two images on Bashful Blue card stock. I cut out the first image and the inner image of the second. I then stamped the flower again on Always Artichoke card stock and cut out the center only. The image was stamped twice again on So Saffron card stock. The inner and outer image was cut out. Using the 1 1/16" punch, I punched several holes of the So Saffron card stock.
I placed the smaller of the two flower images on top of each other and slightly bent the petals upward. I then placed the Always Artichoke cutout in the center of the flower. The two So Saffron images were placed with the smaller on top of the larger. The small circles were then placed on the flower as shown.
I think that this has been one of my best cards yet.

Girly Cards

I created this card for my niece. She will be 6 years old January 1, 2008. Niyah is a girly girl with a tomboy kick. She loves to dress up. She loves fashion and she absolutely loves football. I thought that she would love this fashionable little princess.

For this card I used Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, and Whisper White card stock. The designer series paper comes from a retired Simply Scrappin' kit. The stamp set is also retired, Pretty Princess.

The image was colored using the Stampin' Write Markers. I used the Horizontal Slot Punch to thread the Ivory Organdy (retired) and Pretty in Pink Ribbon through. The Ticket Corner Punch was used on the corners and the Scallop Punch, 1 1/4" circle and 1 3/8" circle was used for the Happy Birthday flower.

I hope that she enjoys her card but most of all have a WONDERFUL Birthday.

Snow Burts in Chocolate

This card was created for my annual Christmas Stamp a Stack. My guest stamped 20 cards with four different designs. When my guests arrived they began immediately. While they stamped, I prepared a hot dip for the ladies to snack on. It was done by the time they finished their first set of cards. The camp lasted for five hours. We laughed, stamped, and ate. What a great time we had. Oh back to the card. Well it was made using Chocolate Chip card stock for the base, Rose Red Designer Series Paper for the second layer, Whisper White card stock, and Purely Pomegranate card stock. I tied on the rich Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon to give it just a taste of yumminess. We used the Snow Burst stamp set with White Craft Ink and stamped the "Joy" from the Snowflake Spot, in Purely Pomegranate. The snowflakes on the Whisper White card stock were stamped in White Craft ink and then embossed using Clear embossing powder and Dazzling Diamonds glitter. I also used the 1 1/4" circle punch, 1 3/8" punch and the scallop circle punch .
